Everest Rescue Mission – Level 1

There is good news from the tall mountains of Everest. A very big rescue mission is now finished, and everyone is okay. Hundreds of people were stuck on the mountain inside a valley. A powerful snowstorm came suddenly over the weekend and trapped them. They were more than 4,000 meters high, and it was very cold and dangerous. For a whole week, people all over the world were worried about them. It was very difficult for rescue teams to reach the valley because of the bad weather and the high location. The news we heard was not always clear, which made people more worried. But the rescue teams were brave and worked very hard. They successfully saved 580 people. This group included hikers, their guides, and other workers who help on the mountain. Now, every single person has been taken to a safe place. This rescue was one of the biggest ever seen in this part of the world. It had a very happy ending.
