Brazilian President’s Diplomatic Visit to Rome – Level 1

The President of Brazil is in Rome, Italy. He arrived on Sunday morning and is staying at the Brazilian Embassy. He did not have any official work on Sunday. His official agenda starts on Monday.

On Monday morning, he will have his first meeting with the Pope. The President will invite the Pope to a big event in Brazil called COP30. After this, he will go to the FAO, which is the United Nations’ organization for food and agriculture. He will talk about the global fight against hunger. This is an important topic because Brazil is no longer on the world’s ‘map of hunger’, which is great news. The President will also have a meeting with the Prime Minister of Bangladesh to talk about the Global Alliance against Hunger. It is a short trip, but the meetings are very important for Brazil’s relationship with the world. The main goals are to discuss the environment and to help solve the problem of world hunger.
