Ireland has a big problem with housing. Many people, including thousands of adults and children, are homeless. Georgie, Jonathan, and their baby, Delilah, are one of these families. They do not have a home. Every night, they ask friends or family if they can sleep at their house. It is a difficult situation for them, especially for a baby who wakes up in a new place and feels scared. A year ago, their life was good. Jonathan had a good job as a crane operator. But when they lost their apartment, everything changed. Jonathan also got sick with diabetes. They try to get help from the government, but there are no places in emergency shelters. They spend their days in their car and eat fast food because they have no kitchen to cook in. This makes Jonathan’s health worse. Every day is a struggle to find a safe place to sleep for the night.
