This rate surpasses the OECD average of 36% and points to a swift adoption of technology in the country’s classrooms. The applications are diverse, with 77% of teachers using AI for creating lesson plans and 64% for automating student queries. Despite this high adoption rate, the study reveals a critical discrepancy. Many educators who refrain from using AI cite a lack of knowledge and skills, with 64% stating this as the primary barrier. Furthermore, 60% point to insufficient school infrastructure as a major obstacle, a figure much higher than the OECD average of 37%. An education specialist emphasizes that for AI to be a truly beneficial tool, teachers require proper initial and ongoing training. The goal is to use technology to enhance human competencies and provide educators with more tools to manage large, diverse classrooms effectively.
