Drone Incident at Munich Airport Causes Major Disruption – Level 2

Munich airport in Germany has resumed its activities after a temporary shutdown. The airport suspended all operations for several hours because of drones detected in its airspace. This disruption had a significant impact on travel.

As a result of the closure, 17 flights were canceled, and another 15 were diverted to other airports. The suspension affected approximately 3,000 passengers, causing considerable delays and travel complications.

It is important to note that this is not the first incident of its kind in Europe recently. The continent is experiencing rising tension due to alleged invasions of NATO military alliance airspace by Russia. Just last week, U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the situation. He stated he would support the downing of any Russian military aircraft that entered the airspace of a NATO country. This highlights the growing security concerns in the region.
