Drone Incident at Munich Airport Causes Major Disruption – Level 1

Munich airport in Germany is open again. It closed for many hours. The problem was drones in the sky. Drones are small, flying machines with no pilot.

Because of the drones, the airport had to stop all flights. This was a big problem. Many people could not travel. About 17 flights were canceled. This means the flights did not happen. Another 15 flights had to go to different airports. This is called a diversion.

In total, around 3,000 passengers were affected. They had to wait or change their plans. This is not the first time a problem like this has happened in Europe. It has happened before in other places. These events make travel difficult and cause many delays for people who need to fly. It is a serious issue for airports.
